Measles Update for Traveling Families
Measles cases have recently increased in parts of Pennsylvania. If your family lives in or plans to travel to affected areas, your child may need vaccinations earlier than the routine schedule. For an up-to-date list of affected counties, visit https://www.pa.gov/measles
- Infants 6 - 11 months: consider an early dose
- Children 1 - 3 years of age: consider an accelerated dose
by getting a second dose sooner than 4 years of age
Measles spreads easily, but vaccination provides strong protection.

A provider is available 24 hours a day to provide Star Community Health patients with access to needed care. To reach a provider after hours, please call your doctor’s office and the answering service can page the provider on call.
